A Message To Tiger Lily

A sad and lonely chipmunk named Idiot learns his real name is Genius and we learn just how important a name can be. But being named Genius doesn’t make you one. Genius Tamias Striatus quickly learns that he has a ways to go before he can rightfully claim the title.

When he is caught stealing seeds from his friend’s garden, Mrs. Li traps him and takes him to “Hong Kong.” Genius suddenly finds himself in a strange forest facing the glaring eyes of Mr. Max-a-million, a lean, mean and very hungry farm cat who prefers to eat his chipmunks with his corn fritters, especially when their jowls are full of roasted and lightly salted peanuts. Now Mr. Genius faces his ultimate test. Will his fate be to furnish Max (and others) with a fine meal or will he figure a way out of this and find his way back to his stone wall beside Mrs. Li’s wonderful garden?

The story takes us on a high road adventure as Genius meets a host of new friends and traveling companions who are also lost and alone and ready for someone with courage to lead them to a new and better life. Topics of interest include: the importance of keeping promises; the value of friendship and the duty to uplift those you love even if that means you must give up a few of your egotistical advantages; the value of teamwork; and how seeing yourself in others can make you a true genius.
